This article explains the basic concept of profitable position. Competition is difficult. Our resources are limited. Running out of resources is fatal. We can know neither the costs nor benefits of a given move before we make to it. We do know that every move will have costs and few of them will generate benefits. Even worse, we are taught in school that events can be planned in a competitive environment the same as in a controlled environment. This mindset is not only wrong but fatal. Luckily, we offer a cure.
