Seven rules regarding how seeking openings avoids costly conflict.
Rule Book Articles are available only to members, but you can purchase article downloads.
This article describes how we must find openings in order to avoid the costs of conflict. Conflict is a mistake based on two misconceptions. The first misconception is that there is only a finite amount of ground. The second is that existing ground can yield only a limited amount of resources. If the ground and its resources are limited, conflict is unavoidable. This means that the costs of conflict are also unavoidable and that all of humanity is locked into a war of attrition in which we all must grow poorer protecting what we have.
