This article explains why people inherently realize that all opportunities are temporary. We talk about "windows of opportunity" opening up and then they closing. Because only our environment creates opportunities and is always changing, the temporary nature of opportunities is unavoidable. However, these basic ideas tell us very little about how to recognize whether an opportunity is waxing or waning.
