This article explains how to respond to the Open Situation that arises in the middle of a campaign when we are in a race with other competitors but the best route to success is not clear. Open situations challenge our ego on one hand and our herd mentality on the other. Ego is dangerous if the situation develops into a intersecting situation. A herd mentality forgets the basic rule about opportunities being openings. These two attitudes can easily create a lagging position, which can degrade quickly in a serious situation.
