This article explains how we know when we must stop making an advance. While our movement to improve our position never stops, we must sometimes take a pause. We can only take what we have the strength to grasp. We get into trouble when we reach beyond our capabilities. When our resources are spread too thin, we become vulnerable. We reach barriers that we don't have the resources to overcome, we must regroup. The problem is that it is often difficult to recognize our situation. Mistakes in monitoring resources are easy while we are making progess. The faster we are going, the easier it is to forget to monitor our limited resources (3.1.1 Resource Limitations). The more we focus on fighting the battle, the easier it is to run low on ammunition.
