This article explains how we tailor all of our standard responses to certain specific conditions. Movement often naturally generates opposition. Many of the nine common classes of strategic situations are defined by our position relative to opposition (6.4 Nine Situations). These same types of situations arise over and over again but they are never exactly the same. Every occurrence involves a unique constellation of conditions. As with all aspects of situation response, the devil is in the details.
