This article explains how we adapt our response as we are moving to a new position and we meet opposition. To make our responses more effective, we want to leverage the the physical, persistent conditions of our environment, known as the "ground" ([node:content/strategic-principle-day-132-ground-describes-external-conditions-persist-over-time link]). Where we meet that opposition, that is, the type of ground that we are on, is critical to making the best decisions about how to respond. Different forms of ground offer us different types of advantages. We cannot leverage the different forms of ground unless we understand where its force lies.
