This article explains how winning rewards usually comes down to the decisions of individuals. When a single individuals must decide, the average behavior of the crowd no longer matters (1.8.4 Probabilistic Process). Decisions by individuals are different from a group decisions. Individuals are never average. The problem is that strategy teaches us to think in probabilities, but we cannot treat individuals as we do a group. Working with individuals requires its own special methods.
