This article describes how strategic strength depends on two characteristics: unity and focus. The problem is that from an ordinary perspective these qualities are opposite from one another. People see unity as inclusive but focus as exclusive. To bring teams together, we must include other views, but to focus the team, we must exclude other views. This is what these rules teach.
