Here is the second part of Christopher Monckton article on the dishonesty of those who support statist solutions for "human caused" global warming. Here he focuses on the impossibilities of any governmental solution improving our creation of greenhouse gasses. Strategically, we look at these problems of ones of positioning. China is not going to stop burning fossil fuels because it is far behind the West and building power plants as fast as it can. Places like Brittain are not going to adopt truly clean (in terms of carbon eminssions) energy by building nuclear power plants because the "green" establisment has already taken a position against them. Instead, billions of dollars must be wasted pursuing the chimera of "solutions" such as wind energy (or "bird slicers" as Monckton colorfully calls them). As I have said before, even if you could prove scientifically that the earth was warming primarily due to human activity (which you cannot), it doesn't matter. There is no government action that can address the problem. All these solutions can do is waste valuable resources that are best applied to adapting to the climate instead of trying to control it. The Washington Time's also offers us this review of a new book, "Unstoppable Global Warming: Every 1,500 Years," by distinguished climate physicist Fred Singer and award-winning environmental economist Dennis Avery. To quote from the review:

The conclusion of their book in a nutshell is that, yes, the world is getting a bit warmer, but this is just the natural cycle. They provide overwhelming evidence this warming would occur with or without mankind increasing CO2 emissions or doing anything else. The good news is that if we realize we cannot stop global warming, and concentrate on constructively dealing with the problems it causes -- which are all manageable at reasonable cost -- and then enjoy the benefits, mankind will do just fine.
