I have read the book called the art of war, but I was un aware that they so many versions or interpretations of it. What are the advantages of studying at your school?
The number of versions of the Art of War actually started in China. The book was outlawed for most of history and was passed down secretly in various versions that diverged over time. In the eighteenth century when the first Western translation were written, there were a dozens of such versions in China. Two things changed in the later part of the 20th century AFTER the most common English translations were written making a better translation possible. You can find a number of articles about all the common problems we see in translating the text here, see the menu of articles on the left.
